Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Forested slopes of the Velký and Malý Kamýk hills. Bedrock consists of leucocratic migmatite and its contact with biotite and muscovite-biotite granite. On the hill ridge frost cliffs are developed and covered by blocky scree.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Metamorphic units in Moldanubicum
